● Office & commercial · Byron Shire → Gold Coast
Closed Friday, trading Monday.
An office move is a house move with a deadline attached: every hour the desks are on the truck is an hour the business is shut. So we plan commercial jobs around your trading hours, usually a weekend, load in the same wrap-and-strap way we move homes, and set it down where the floor plan says. The rate is the same honest $170 an hour as everything else we do.
01 / how it runs
The weekend move, start to finish.

Walk-through and quote
Tell us what's moving: desks, stock, shelving, the lot. You get a written quote before anything is booked, and the number you approve is the number on the invoice.
- 02
Load after close
We arrive when the doors shut, wrap the screens and the stock the way we wrap a home, and strap every load. Label the crates by room at the other end and the unload places itself.
- 03
Set down to the floor plan
Desks where the plan says, boxes in the right rooms, rubbish from the old fit-out gone if you want it gone ($100 per cubic metre, same as any clearout). Doors open Monday.

In their words
I am delighted to recommend Northern Removals. They are professional and very supportive going above and beyond expectations. Most importantly Mayan and Hugo are absolutely delightful to deal with, nothing was too much trouble.
Helped me and my wife move with a house with lots of stairs to a new house with lots of stairs. On a hot day and did an amazing job. They even offered to come back for things we didn't originally ask to be moved in the quote.
It was a pleasure to have Northern Removals doing a job for us. I urgently needed a removalist from Myocum to Suffolk Park and Mayan the manager was able to find a time for the job, which was handled with great care and efficiency.
Northern Removals from Byron Bay were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Punctual, efficient, and genuinely friendly, even at the end of a long, dusty day moving everything from Open Table to the tip. Big smiles, great energy, and zero stress.
He did such an amazing job. He was quick, efficient and a great guy to meet. I know it can be stressful, but I really recommend this guy.
02 / honest answers
Commercial questions, answered straight.
- What does an office move cost?
- The same rate as any move: $170 an hour depot-to-depot with two movers, the truck, blankets and straps, 2 hour minimum. Weekends add $10 per person per hour. A few desks and a shop counter is a short job; a full fit-out gets a written quote before the truck leaves the depot, and that number is the number.
- Can we move outside trading hours?
- Yes. Most of our commercial jobs run on a weekend so the doors don't shut on a trading day. The phone is answered around the clock, so book the slot that costs your business the least.
- Do you move the tech: monitors, printers, the coffee machine?
- Yes, wrapped the same way we wrap a family's TV: blanket on every corner, strapped so nothing shifts. Back up your data before moving day; that part only you can do.
- How much notice do you need?
- We run a small calendar on purpose and it books out about a week or two ahead. For an end-of-lease deadline on the premises, call as soon as you have the date and we'll lock it in.
- Do you do full fit-out relocations?
- Shops, studios and small offices, yes. If your job needs more than two movers and one truck in a day, say so up front and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right size for it, and who to call if we're not.
