I never planned to start a removalist business. I bought a truck planning to convert it into a motorhome. To cover the rego I took a moving job, then another, and over time I realised I cared more about packing other people's stuff carefully than I'd cared about most of the work I'd done before. The motorhome plan got shelved. The business is what stayed.

The upside of an accidental start: nothing about how we operate is inherited. I didn't grow up in the trade, so I don't carry the bad habits the industry takes for granted. Every choice about how we wrap furniture, quote a job, or follow up after a move is one I've made because it felt right, not because "that's how it's done."
